About Mike
A builder by trade.
A writer by calling.
I’m Mike Farrar—a husband, father, business owner, and man living in addiction remission by the grace of God.
For years, my life looked functional from the outside while I fought battles I did not understand on the inside. Faith, humility, treatment, and truth helped me begin rebuilding. I write from that lived experience—not from a place of having everything figured out.
This is for the person who looks fine on the outside but feels like they are fighting a war within—and for the people who love them.

Unconsumed
A bush burned without being consumed. What does it mean to carry the fire of God without letting the world burn us up?

Grace is free. But receiving it costs the one thing pride never wants to surrender: the illusion of control.

Your inner dialogue can keep you on high alert—or lead you toward calm, clarity, and alignment with God.

Learning to quiet the mind and reconnect with God.
Regulation quiets the inner noise, creating space to connect with the Holy Spirit.
Regulate is a nine-week, faith-forward mental-health formation program being developed for churches and ministries. It combines nervous-system understanding, honest conversation, practical daily rhythms, and biblical truth to help people recognize the state they are living in and learn how to return.
This is not self-help dressed in Christian language. Without God, it becomes self-help. With God, it becomes transformation.
